Having the right insulation in your attic is even more important when there is ductwork in the space. The ducts in this attic were properly sealed before being insulated to help the conditioned air stay warm or cool, depending on the season. Once the air sealing throughout the attic was complete, the space was filled with blown-in cellulose insulation.
Anytime moisture becomes trapped and humidity forms, mold can grow on organic material, like the wood roof decks in this attic. After the mold was treated with Mold-X2, this attic was air sealed to prevent warm, humid air that can lead to mold growth from entering the attic.
