Poorly insulated home in Loris FIXED by Carolina Energy Conservation

This homeowner in Loris was experiencing uncomfortable rooms in both winter and summer caused by their poorly insulated attic. Poorly insulated attics can have numerous effects on the efficiency of your home, resulting in high energy bills and drafty and hot/cold rooms. They asked neighbors about their insulation and if their attic was insulated. They all had insulated attics and they recommended Carolina Energy Conservation to come to their home for a FREE inspection.  Carolina Energy Conservation easily solved this problem by first sealing all the air gaps then installing the fiberglass insulation. With these simple fixes the homeowner will see quick results in both their energy bills and the comfort of their home.

    Attic Insulation in Market Common

This single family home in Market Common was built in 2003. This home had blown insulation that was up to code (code means the minimum). Carolina Energy Conservation took out the old insulation and removed it from the property. We then came in to blow in new cellulose insulation. This insulation is made of recycled newspapers and treated with a special chemical that keeps the bugs and critters away. Before the new insulation was blown in the team sealed all of the can lights and electrical penetrations. After the blown in cellulose the homeowner reported the home was much more comfortable and he wished he had done this sooner.

Carolina Energy Conservation was called to take a look at this single family home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The homeowner was courteous about the insulation removal process. He was not able to get into his attic space. He asked the team to take photos and update him. The team takes photos through out the installation. They were more than happy to share the photos they took with the homeowner.    When the homeowner looked up photos of attic insulation he saw before and after photos. He wanted to see everything In between. The first photo is the before photo and the second photo is the progress photo. He said this photo was helpful and gave him a full understanding of what to expect.
