Actually, I chose The Drying Company because they did original conditioning several years ago. I don't recall how the appraisal was done, but a young man who showed up before the installation recommended a dehumidifier while saying that possibly the leakage in the venting system might do the job without a dehumidifier. Not being knowledgeable on this matter, I made a bad decision and went without a dehumidifier. Compounding the problem was the fact that a humidification gauge with a remote in the house was supposed to have been installed but was not. Now I know I should have noted the lack of the humidity sensor gauge and that I should have been instructed to monitor and report high levels of humidity. The complete installation went to mold and contamination. The cost to remove the original job and remediate the mold possibly could have been avoided if the young man had strongly recommended a dehumidifier and did not say that perhaps it was not needed, my choice. This time, a truly professional appraisal was done by Mike, and I believe we are properly instructed and the space appropriately conditioned.
