He comes from a union labor family and spent many summers working for his family's construction companies in Maryland and Ohio. Stephen went to school at West Virginia University. Pests love to use traditional insulation to nest and burrow. When they urinate, it can dry and crystalize and become part of the air moving around inside of your home.
This existing insulation was not efficient. Over time insulation can degrade, get washed around by the wind, and get used and abused by pests.
This air duct was passing air through a hostile attic environment, now it is sealed and safe for the conditioned air to travel through.
The top of this corner/wall was 79.2 degrees. Thermal imaging can clearly point out where the places in need of attention are.
The old insulation in this attic was ready to be removed. It had thin patches providing minimal performance and showed evidence of rodents.
