This homeowner in Lenox, MA called us when he was looking to improve insulation in his home. When our Home Comfort Specialist arrived at the home, we noticed that the windows in his home were old and poorly maintained. One even had a piece of cardboard instead of a pane! The homeowner was aware they needed attention, too. 

We were able to help this customer by replacing his windows with our Everlast™ high efficiency vinyl windows. These sliding windows have double pane glass that is treated to reduce heat flow in and out of the glass. They also will never rust, rot, or need paint! That way, the homeowner would be able to enjoy his space, without drafts, high energy bills, or the risk of pests entering the home. 

This homeowner in Lenox, MA called us hoping that we would be able to help her with her home. She had a mold issue she wanted addressed. When our Home Comfort Specialist arrived in the home, he noticed that her garage's poured concrete walls were not insulated. This is fairly common -- but it can affect the temperature of the home. This meant that their energy bills were higher than they should be. 

The best way to protect and insulated poured concrete walls is to use insulation board. We installed our Foamax polyisocyanurate (Polyiso) foam insulation boards on the walls that were shared between the garage and the main home. They install right over the concrete! As a bonus, they are also flame retardant, so it can be exposed, unlike other types of foam. This insulation board makes a noticeable difference in a space -- the space feels warmer and more comfortable, and the home is easier to heat!
