The roof was only fourteen years old, but was experiencing leaking. We found that the primary source of water intrusion was originating from the bottom of a valley. Part of this project entailed removing all prior roofing materials from the bottom of the valley, as well as the bottom 3-4 courses of siding from the adjoining wall. We then covered all exposed decking with new Ice & Water shield, and ran the membrane up the side wall of the house. In addition to Estate Grey shingles, Klaus Larsen installed new drip edges, step flashing and replaced the siding.

We then installed two rows of ice & water barrier near all eaves, valleys, and intersections of the garage. This ranch style home in Woodbury, CT was in need of a roof replacement due to its age and the build up of moss and algae. We began this job by tearing away and disposing of the existing roofing material. We inspected the roof deck, and found 5 damaged plywood decking sheets that we then replaced. Next, we installed two rows of Ice & Water Barrier to protect the home from inclement weather. We also added a Synthetic Underlayment to further protect the home from the elements.
