This Cape style home located in Meriden, CT was having issues with their roof that was leaking. The old shingles on the home were single-tabbed shingles which is a dated and old style not known for its durability. Because this roof was leaking, it had ample damage to the plywood decking which is the base structure of the roof. We completely tore off the decking and replaced it with brand new plywood. Then, we laid down Owens Corning Ice & Water shield to protect it from moisture and the outside elements. For the brand new shingles, we installed Owens Corning Tru Definition Duration shingles in the color Estate Gray. To help with this we installed a Ventsure Ridge Vent which provides top-notch consistent attic ventilation and a weather protection moisture barrier.
