Tom Hayes, a Toms River resident, is a pest control technician for Cowleys. He has been with Cowleys since 2006, and is one of our most experienced field technicians. He performs a wide variety of residential pest control services, and also services many of our commercial accounts, including restaurants and office buildings. He enjoys helping people resolve their pest problems and gets a great feeling of satisfaction helping customers. Pest problems can be an overwhelming source of stress for homeowners and business owners, and Tom likes to turn those issues into distant memories.
Tom is a licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator. In addition to Core certification, he holds multiple pest control category certifications: the 7A for general and household pest control, the 7B certification for termites & other wood-destroying insects, and the new 13 certification for school Integrated Pest Management. He is also a Certified Sentricon® Termite Baiting System Specialist.
Prior to joining Cowleys, Tom was a quality control technician for 20 years, and he also worked in R&D. The thoroughness and attention to detail required in these positions easily transferred to those skills necessary to be an effective pest control technician. Tom always strives to provide the highest quality service, and no job is done until it meets his high standards. If Tom is assigned to a job, we like to say that the pests will decide to leave voluntarily. He is incredibly thorough, methodical, and never rushes or cuts corners. Customers see the care that goes into his work, and they always appreciate it.
In his free time, Tom likes to read and spend quality time with his wife and daughters. He also enjoys day trips to Manhattan to see a play, go out to dinner, or just walk around and soak in the sights and sounds. When scheduling permits, he tries to take longer vacations, but only in climates that are warm year round. His two favorite destinations are sunny Southern California and the magical island of Jamaica.
