Nicholas "Nick" Settanni, a resident of Freehold NJ, joined the Cowleys family in September 2023, as a part of our construction/home improvement crew, which includes crawl space encapsulation, attic insulation, mold removal, wildlife clean-up and repair, and a variety of other home improvement services! 
 
Prior to joining Cowleys, Nick worked as a Crew Chief for a construction company for over 5 years and even has several home repair certifications, such as Water Restoration Technician awarded by the International Restoration Institute! Nick always makes sure that every single job is done right and surpasses the customers expectations! He also has incredible leadership skills and is always willing to lend a hand, even if it's to other departments at Cowleys!
 
Nick loves to go fishing with his friends and family, but his favorite hobby is paintball!

Afterward, we installed a vapor barrier, which is a heavy-duty, 20-mil 7-ply sandwich of high and low-density polyethylene with a polyester-cord reinforcement.
Next, we placed several measuring sticks throughout the attic to ensure that the proper amount of R-value is added to the attic. Afterward, we air sealed all the gaps and cracks in the attic. This will eliminate air flow between the living space and the attic, improving energy efficiency.
As you can see, the crawl space was a bit messy and dirty.
First, we removed all the debris, leveled the ground for proper draining, and installed a drainage matting. A drainage matting is a dimpled plastic mat that allows all excess moisture to work its way over to the newly installed SmartSump™ Crawl Space Sump Pump. Afterward, we installed a vapor barrier.
Next, we installed a vapor barrier, which is a heavy-duty, 20-mil 7-ply sandwich of high and low-density polyethylene with a polyester-cord reinforcement. It cannot tear and is extremely durable.
Finally we added approximately 12 inches TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation throughout the attic. Trusoft blown-in cellulose insulation fills the attic to its recommended insulation levels, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, is resistant to mold and pests, is eco-friendly, maximizes home comfort, and optimizes energy usage for year-round peace and savings for the homeowner!
First, we removed all of the fiberglass insulation, debris, and the old vapor barrier out of the crawl space and properly dispose of them. Afterward, we added a drainage matting.
Trusoft fills the attic to its recommended insulation levels, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, is resistant to mold and pests, is eco-friendly, maximizes home comfort, and optimizes energy usage for year-round peace and savings for the homeowner!
