Thank you so much for co-sponsoring our semi-annual Paper Shred on Saturday, October 17th. More than 100 community members of all ages attended to safely shred their financial documents and other paperwork. As a result, we brought in more than $1,900 in donations to Senior Services of the Chathams!
Your sponsorship at the $200 level covered one hour of our cost for the Shred truck. Your generous donation, in combination with those from our other sponsors, meant we had virtually no costs associated with the event, so all the money donated by community members can go straight to programs at the Senior Center.
We rely heavily on donations from individuals and local businesses, and your support ensures that we can continue to provide high quality services and programs to help our older neighbors remain active and independent members of our community. The National Council of Aging says that a senior center is a visible symbol of a community's concern for its older residents.
It's because of generous donors like you that we are celebrating 25 years of operating the Senior Center and the Senior Bus this year. Please stop by the Senior Center soon to see how your donation enables us to makea difference in the lives of others.
