This new construction project in Brackney, PA was a gutting and full renovation of a lake home, with a small addition being placed in the back of the home. The new homeowners wanted to ensure good insulation for the home, and our closed cell spray foam insulation was advised.
For this customer, we sprayed 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam insulation to the walls, as well as 2 inches in the rim joists and on the walls of the crawl space beneath the home.
This Brackney, PA homeowner had a crawl space he wanted to have something done with. The crawl space went the entire length of the home. We laid down our 6 mil poly to the ground to create a vapor barrier, then spray foamed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the exterior skirting of the home to adhere the poly so it won't slip out of place.
This will help keep the moisture from affecting the underside of the home, especially living on a lake!
This homeowner in Brackney, PA wanted to ensure her home would be well insulated.
We proposed to install a full CleanSpace encapsulation system in the crawlspace, as well as spray foam the rim joists as well as basement walls. We also proposed installing a SaniDry Sedona to help keep the humidity levels down, as well as air seal and insulate the basement door.
We began the project by installing our Drainage matting to the floor of the crawlspace. This is a dimpled material that will allow water to still flow underneath the barriers - but not affect the homes moisture and humidity levels, then laid down our Terrablock matting before laying down our 10 mil poly CleanSpace vapor barrier. We then spray foamed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the sides of the crawlspace to adhere the poly lining to the crawlspace and sealing it. We then turned our attention to the basement.
In the basement, we sprayed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam into the rim joists, as well as 3 inches of Closed Cell Spray foam to the foundation walls of the basement. We also installed our SaniDry Sedona with condensate pump which will help keep the basement dry.
