This Castle Creek, NY homeowner was having a lot of issues with her crawl space. We proposed to help her with this issue. She had an old sump pump that no longer worked to help keep the moisture in the crawl space at bay. We installed a new sump pump for her, as well as our 6 mil poly as a vapor barrier to the floor of the crawl space. The rim joists received 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam, and we also spray foamed the vapor barrier to the walls to ensure it won't fall down, as well as the entire foundation walls.
We also did some work to the home, where a ceiling had actually come down in the home. We took out the fiberglass that hung from the ceiling space and used our closed cell spray foam to spray 4 inches of spray foam to the roof deck and replaced the sheetrock. This customer will now have a more comfortable home and reduced energy bills.
