Chenango Forks, NY - Addition - Closed Cell Spray Foam

This homeowner was building an addition on to the existing home, and wanted to ensure that pests would not be able to get into the flooring. With our Closed Cell Spray Foam, pests do not like to burrow or try to nest our insulation - whether it's closed cell spray foam or the blown in cellulose so you can have piece of mind knowing that pests will not be stealing your insulation for their nests.

Chenango Forks, NY - TruSoft Cellulose Insulation

This Chenango Forks, NY homeowner had very little insulation in their home. We proposed to spray foam the cantilever floor with our closed cell spray foam as well as do some dense packing with our TruSoft Cellulose insulation.

We did some air sealing in the garage ceiling, which has some bedrooms above it. Air sealing will help prevent air leaking in and out of the home. Our crew then dense packed the walls by removing the siding from the house carefully, then drilled a 2 and a half inch round hole in the home to fit our hose in, which we then packed our TruSoft Cellulose insulation inside until you can't poke your fingers through the hole. We then used our cedar wood plugs to cover and seal the holes, then as carefully as we removed them - replaced the siding on to the home.

Chenango Forks, NY - TruSoft Cellulose Insulation

These homeowners in Chenango Forks, NY had recently purchased a home that was left vacant for some time, and the previous owner had let the home fall into disrepair - including a tree falling down and causing some issues with the roof, which resulted in a lot of excess moisture being able to come into the home. Our free home comfort evaluation showed these homeowners that the fiberglass batts that were in the attic space were now growing mold and were absolutely dirty due to the excess moisture in the attic space, as well as how much of the fiberglass batts had become a home to several rodents who made it their nests, as well as left their feces behind.

These homeowners removed the old fiberglass batts so we had a fresh place to start from in the attic to begin to air seal the attic properly. We also sealed around the 8 can lights, as well as put can light covers around the can lights to prevent air leakage around the lights. We did an open blow of 17 inches of our TruSoft cellulose insulation to the attic flat once the attic was air sealed properly.

The rim joists of the home were also stuffed full of dirty, old fiberglass batts. We removed the old, inadequate fiberglass and sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell spray foam in the rim joists of the basement.

Chenango Forks - Mobile Home Spray Foam

This homeowner in Chenango Forks qualified for the Empower program, which Foam It is a part of through NYSERDA. Due to the income and household size for this homeowner, we were able to do the insulation to the underside of the mobile home at no cost to the homeowner.

For this home, we removed the insulation that was falling down, and spray foamed three inches of our Closed Cell spray foam to the underside of the mobile home.

Chenango Forks, NY - Attic Insulation

The owner of this Chenango Forks, NY home was looking to make some improvements to the home and improve energy efficiency.

Insulating the attic, as always, is one of the key components to reaching these goals.  We air-sealed the attic and then did an open blow of 14 inches of cellulose insulation.  Along with other measures, this greatly improved the efficiency and comfort of the home.
