The underside of this mobile home in Ninevah, NY needed insulation.
3 inches of closed cell foam was sprayed on the underside of the trailer. Along with other actions that were taken, this will help to improve the comfort of the home and reduce energy usage.
This Lakewood, PA homeowner wanted to do something about the crawl space beneath his home, as he was experiencing heavy moisture issues.
We proposed to encapsulate the crawlspace with our CleanSpace system. First, to combat the mold issues that the water had caused to the beams beneath the home, we applied some of our MoldX spray to the flooring system and support beams. First, we laid down our Drainage mat, which is specially designed to still allow water to flow through, we then installed our TerraBlock matting over it we then laid our 10 mil poly over top of that as a vapor barrier to prevent the water from getting to the beams and flooring. To adhere the matting and poly we laid down, we then sprayed 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the walls of the crawl space and pillars to make sure the linings would not slip down leaving a gap of any kind to allow water to affect the home.
This Afton, NY homeowner wanted both mobile homes she owned to have Home Comfort Evaluations done and the same thing was found with both - there was a lack of insulation beneath the homes. 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam were sprayed to the underside of the mobile home to insulate the floors.
This Afton, NY home was a mobile home that had two different additions put on it. The floors were still very cold during the wintertime, and the people living inside the home were tired of high heating bills as a result of such cold floors. Our Home Comfort Evaluation showed that there was very little insulation. We proposed to spray 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the underside of the home, giving a good layer of insulation from the chills of winter. The people residing in the home felt an immediate difference in the temperature of the floors and were happy to see that their heating bills were also reduced.
This homeowner in Afton, NY was experiencing very cold floors in the winter, and her energy usage was quite a bit higher than it should be. The fiberglass beneath the home wasn't doing enough to keep the floors warm during the cold winter months.
We proposed to fix this issue for her by spraying the underside of the mobile home with 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam. This blocks the cold air from beneath the home from being able to travel through the floors like it had previously, which left our homeowner feeling like she'd freeze to the floorboards. By spraying the belly of the home with spray foam, this will also help to lower the homeowner's fuel costs - so she's warmer in the winter and the home is cheaper to heat!
