Spray Foam on Kneewalls and Gable Walls- Sound Beach, NY

We were contacted by a homeowner in Sound Beach to perform a free in home evaluation. This customer wanted to make the home more comfortable and energy efficient. One of the areas of the home we addressed was the kneewalls and gables walls. The kneewall and gable walls are a common problem for heat loss. This home had no insulation in these walls. To help improve the amount of heat being lost, Triple H used closed cell spray foam insulation to insulate the kneewalls and gable walls. Closed cell spray foam expands in place and air cannot pass through it. Now that these walls are properly insulated the homeowner will experience less drafts and the home will be easier to heat and cool.

Attic Zipper Tent- Middle Island NY

Our customer located in Middle Island requested a free home energy assessment.  In order to make this customer more comfortable and more efficient, we installed blown-in cellulose insulation into the attic. We also installed an attic zipper hatch. This covers the opening of the stairs that provide access into the attic. By installing this attic zipper hatch it will stop air infiltration between the home and attic, the most common medium for wasting costly energy, during both hot and cold seasons. After completion of the project, this customer will be warmer in the colder months and will save energy.
