SaniDry dehumidifer needs to be serviced annually

Your SaniDry CX dehumidification system under your house needs to be serviced annually as it is a high-performance machine.  It needs to be tuned up, just like a car does, and this will ensure the level of moisture is below where mold and mildew develop.

During the service, the system and coils are checked, the heat exchange core is inspected and cleaned, the blower and discharge systems are inspected, and the overall working of the system is checked.

The pre-filter is cleaned, and the carbon filter is changed (see photos for before and after filters). A dirty filter means your dehumidification system is not working to its full potential and dust and mold spores are not being filtered out of the crawl space air that finds its way into your home.

South Salem, OR Attic Upgraded with Blown-In Cellulose Insulation

This attic in a South Salem, OR home was woefully under-insulated. There was some old insulation (see BEFORE photo), but not enough to actually do much.

Our insulation crew removed the old insulation, sealed up places where air was leaking in from the home (that is typical for most homes), and then blew in TruSoft™ cellulose insulation (see AFTER photo).

Milwaukie, OR Church Encapsulates Crawl Space to Control Water

Water issues under this church prompted the reverend to contact our company to find out how to remedy it. Besides a lot of water, there was mold growing under this church; folks were breathing this in since about 50% of the air on the first floor comes from the crawl space!

To solve all issues, the church council chose to have the crawl space encapsulated. To move out water, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier plus two UltraSump sump pumps were also installed.

The smell inside is now much better!

Unhealthy Mess of a Crawl Space in Salem, OR Converted to Encapsulated Crawl Space

The crawl space under this SE Salem, OR home was a gigantic mess! Fiberglass insulation was either hanging down or on the ground rather than tucked onto the underfloor (see BEFORE photo). Rodents were living in the space (they love fiberglass to make nests). Plus, the high humidity level under the home was causing mold to grow!

To make their home more energy-efficient, and also so they wouldn’t be breathing in mold spores, this family chose to seal their crawl space with crawl space encapsulation.

The old, nasty, insulation and vapor barrier were removed by our crawl space crew and then the mold issue was treated with Mold-X to neutralize it and stop the growth. They then installed the special encapsulation vapor barrier material, spray foamed the foundation walls, and installed the Sedona dehumidifier and the SmartSump sump pump.

All of these items together, rather than just replacing the insulation with more fiberglass, makes this home more comfortable and healthier for this family.

Salem, OR Crawl Space WAY Too Moist--Sedona Dehumidifier Installed

Your crawl space’s relative humidity should be 60% at the MOST. The hygrometer reading taken by our salesperson in this crawl space was at 79.8% percent, and at that humidity, mold already started to grow!

Besides neutralizing the mold and encapsulating this crawl space, our insulation team installed a Sedona dehumidifier to help dry the air and keep it under that magic 60% relative humidity number. It also filters the air down to two microns.
