Alexandria VA HVAC Duct Encapsulation

Protecting conditioned, heated or cooled air, from an HVAC system can help lower energy costs.  As air passes through the metal duct system it can react to room temperatures where the ducts are.  A cold room with a metal duct can cool heated air moving through it, just as a hot attic with a duct in it can impact the cold air passing through it.  Encapsulating HVAC ducts with spray foam keeps the environment inside of the duct safe for conditioned air to travel through.

Attic Insulation in Mclean, Va

This customer in Mclean, VA called us as they wanted to add more insulation in the attic.  We did air sealing to stop the air leakage, as well as built plywood dams to keep the insulation in place and off the newly built storage deck.  New decking was installed for storage and air sealed at the seams.  Insulation was upgraded to R60. The result of doing this is better insulation & air sealing keeping the house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Brambleton, VA Insulation Installation

This Brambleton, VA home had just recently finished construction. The owners had no air sealing or insulation in their attic causing the home to get way too hot. Our sales professional Jonathan went out to perform a full home inspection and then gave the homeowners a list of solutions they could choose from. The homeowners ended up deciding to air seal the attic and get TruSoft cellulose insulation installed to keep their home comfortable. Our service crews went out to the property and got to work applying ZypFoam air sealant to all of the seams in the attic floor. This would keep the conditioned air contained within the living spaces in the home and prevent the uncontrolled unconditioned attic air from making the home less comfortable. After they finished air sealing the attic they began installing the new TruSoft cellulose insulation. This cellulose insulation would keep the home from getting too hot during the summers and too cold during the winters making sure the home stays comfortable year-round
