In this project, we tackled both duct replacements and insulation upgrades. Enjoy improved airflow and enhanced energy efficiency with our comprehensive solutions
We were contacted for this project because the homeowner was experiencing high energy bills and uncomfortable temperatures in their home. When we inspected the attic, we saw that there was only about four inches of old insulation in the attic. They decided they wanted to add more insulation so bring their home up to energy efficiency standards.
We increased the level of insulation in the attic by blowing in premium, Johns Manville fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches. This provided the Energy Star recommended R38 level of insulation. We also sealed holes and gaps in the attic to prevent air leakage between the attic and the living spaces of the home.
The homeowner will now enjoy reduced heating and cooling costs and a more comfortable home for years to come!
We left no room for compromise in this project. To ensure unobstructed airflow and superior insulation performance, we installed baffles over the soffit vents. Simultaneously, we upgraded the insulation to a remarkable R-38, with a generous 14-inch thickness. Experience the perfect balance of ventilation and insulation for the utmost energy efficiency and home comfort. We also installed a missing bathroom fan duct, at no charge.
The homeowner called Tyson Energy Solutions because his home in Oakhurst was frigid in the winter and very warm in the summer. Our specialist visited the home and found that the attic only had about four inches of insulation. In order to bring the home up to the Energy Star recommended R38 level, we performed an insulation upgrade by blowing in premium, Johns Manville fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches. We also sealed holes and gaps in the attic to prevent air leakage between the attic and the living spaces of the home.
As a result, this homeowner will enjoy a more comfortable home year-round as well as reduced heating and cooling costs. Because we use premium fiberglass insulation, he won't have to worry about the insulation losing its efficiency for the life of his home.
Doreen contacted us because her cooling costs were astronomical during a particularly brutal summer. Her air conditioner was running constantly, yet her house still felt hot and stuffy. We came out and inspected her attic and found that she only had 5 inches of insulation present. We determined that an insulation upgrade was necessary to help her reduce her heating and cooling costs and help her home feel more comfortable.
We began by air-sealing visible leakage points using closed-cell foam. We then blew in bout 9 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation, bringing her attic to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level.
As a result of the insulation upgrade, Doreen and her family will enjoy a cool, comfortable home in the summertime, and warm home in the winter, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 25% for as long as they reside in that home.
