Crawl Space Encapsulation in Saint Leonard, MD

Justin's Crawl Space in his Owings, MD home was in poor shape and was beginning to affect the comfort and health of her home. She took a great first step by calling Complete Home Solutions, Southern, Maryland's leading crawl space experts. After a throughout review from our Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that a full crawl space encapsulation would solve the problems Justin was facing.  On the day of the encapsulation, our Home Comfort Technicians began by removing the old vapor barrier and insulation from the crawl space., this provided an empty area to begin the transformation. They then installed our Clean space vapor barrier which when bolted to the walls of the crawl space creates a seal that prevents any moisture or pest from entering the crawl from below. Following the installation of the vapor barrier, our Technicians used a 2 part closed cell spray foam to insulate and seal the walls. This process restricts any air from coming through the vents or cinder blocks in the crawl. The final step of this encapsulation is to install a dehumidifier that regulates the humidity to a consistent 50-55%. These improvements will not only help the temperatures on the first floor, but they will also help with air quality throughout the home as well.

New Attic Insulation in California, MD

This home in California, Maryland was having a hard time staying comfortable through the winters and summers. It was always either too cold or too hot. Not to mention, the utility bills every month were extremely high. Being introduced to Complete Home Solutions was just the thing this homeowner needed.

We were able to make some installments that made a huge difference. Some of the work we did included weatherstripping, air sealing the attic, and replacing the old batt insulation with new, cellulose blown in insulation. Now the homeowner and her family are much more comfortable in their house and benefit from lower utility bills.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Callawy, Maryland

When our Home Comfort Specialist arrived this homeowner’s crawl space had some old and damaged lining, the insulation was falling out of the ceiling, some water damage and there were air leaks everywhere. Which meant that he was losing energy, trying to keep his house warm. Air from the outside was able to freely move into his house from the crawl space area. Our Production Team at Complete Home Solutions was able to fix this and make his home efficient and comfortable again!

We gave the homeowner a Home Energy Audit to let him know what we could do to upgrade his crawl space. We ended up taking out all the old insulation, sealing up the vents and penetrations into the crawl space, and performing our CleanSpace Encapsulation. This made a huge difference! The homeowner did not have to fight to keep his house warm anymore (and the air that the family was breathing in was much cleaner and healthier).

Attic Air Sealed in Solomons, MD

It had been a cold, cold winter for this homeowner. Their house was impossible to keep warm and costing them a fortune to try. They didn't understand how their house could possibly be getting this cold, especially since they had insulation in their attic. That's where Complete Home Solutions came into play to diagnose their home and provide solutions.

Our Home Comfort Specialist found that a huge source of discomfort actually was the attic. Although there was a good bit of insulation in there, it was degraded and discolored, which means that air was still filtering through. The way to stop this was to air seal the attic, remove any damaged insulation, and install blown in cellulose insulation. We created a home that is comfortable throughout the cold winter months!
