"During this past summer, we experienced very warm temperatures on our second floor and we also had concerns about attic mold due to the high humidity. Once we contacted them, they worked with us to promptly conduct an energy audit and schedule the work once a contract was signed.Throughout the entire process, Comfenergy staff were prompt, highly professional and transparent. Jason, who conducted the energy audit, guided us through the specific issues in our house (air leakage in the attic and areas of the basement, poor attic insulation, no mold issues!) and the specific remedies required (sealing and installing specific areas). He also assisted us with completing Dominion Electric rebate forms and informed us of current energy tax credits.Our experience with the installation team was just as impressive. Robert’s team took care in protecting our carpets and other areas of the house and cleaned the areas at the end of each day. He also showed us the work being performed at key points of the installation (before beginning the work, after removing old insulation and sealing the attic, after the work was completed). The team also provided pictures of before and after the work.Overall, it was a great experience (we immediately felt the difference in our house) and we’ve recommended Comfenergy to our neighbors."

Customer review - "They came and assessed our concerns and did an energy inspection to determine where we were losing energy. Our main concern was the third floor and how warm it gets in the summer and no matter how many fans we had running it was still uncomfortable. After Pedro inspected, it was discovered that we were mostly losing energy in the attic and our ducts. They cleaned out our old attic insulation (and dust) and then added a radiant barrier to the attic and sealed our dusts, improving things almost immediately. now the third floor is the same temp as the main level of our townhouse in Reston. Highly recommend Comfenergy!"

To Whom it May Concern:   The temperature was 18 degrees outside when I woke up this morning. Inside, in every room of my house the temperature was 70 degrees.  I live in a very old house where indoor temperatures would hover around 60 degrees under such circumstances in previous years.  I must give thanks to Comfenergy’s Carl for making my house so much more livable.  He provided the  knowledge and advice to help me decide on the best, most cost-effective way to improve insulation and minimize air leakage in my house.  He was so honest, that he dissuaded me from overdoing the insulation “just to be safe”, telling me that his recommendations would suffice.  All I can say is a big THANK YOU to Carl!  I will always be confident in the advice he provides, from home insulation needs to wet basement solutions. "We had an all around great experience with Comfenergy from initial visit to job completion. They removed our insufficient attic insulation, then sealed the attic, foam coated the duct work, and sprayed in new insulation. The on-site team was friendly, kept the job site as clean as possible and then cleaned up after. I highly recommend."

"The job for us was a big decision. Got three quotes and decided that Comfenergy had the skill set, materials, and scientific backing to make the decision to go with them easier. The bid I received was very detailed. Carl answered all of my questions and my changes to the SOW were agreed upon to remove the old 4-inches of insulation, seal all of the opening in the attic, encapsulate the can lights, install two bath fans, and an accompanying vent thru the roof, and spray in TruSoft Cellulose insulate to R49. Two weeks later, Robert and his additional crew of two called me 30 minutes out and they came prepared, organized, and with all of the materials listed in the bid. They were thorough and detail oriented the three days they were on the job. Robert spoke with me if there were any issues periodically throughout the day. First day they removed the old insulation, began sealing the deck of the attic, on the second day completed sealing of the deck and insulated half of the attic and installed the new bathroom fans and the accompanying insulated vent lines with installation of the vent in the roof professionally accomplished. On the third day they completed the insulation, and electrical connections for the fans. All work was completed in accordance with the bid and looked professionally completed. I was particularly impressed with how the crew worked with each other and completed tasks on their own."
