This home in Washington, DC was suffering from high energy bills and needed some insulation upgrades right away! They called Complete Home Solutions and we took care of the rest! We sent out Ben, one of our Home Comfort Specialists, to investigate what could be the cause of her energy bills being so high. After a thorough evaluation, Ben concluded that they should upgrade from batt insulation to blown-in cellulose. Blown-in insulation has a higher R-value per inch than batt, thus giving more thermal resistance. Brad and his team showed up and prepped the attic by air sealing the leaky top plates and installing baffles for when the cellulose is installed, it won't block your soffit and cause mold issues in your attic. After the prep-work is done, the Insulation Truck arrives and blows 17 inches of the new cellulose insulation, which will give the homeowner a much better R-value than they had before.
Since we completed the job, they have noticed a significant reduction in their energy bills! If you have high energy bills, we may be able to help reduce them!
Jeanne Called Complete Home Solutions regarding the uncomfortable temperatures in the upstairs bedroom of her Washington, D.C home. Following a FREE estimate from one of our trained Home Comfort Specialists, it was determined that most of the uncomfortable temperatures were originating from the unfinished and uninsulated section of the attic/ upper level of the home. The solution was to have our Home Comfort technicians install new batt insulation into the trusses of the roof before covering the entire space in our SilverGlo insulation board. This has similar results to our 2 part closed cell spray foam and acts as a solid barrier that keeps air from passing from outside to inside.
Jeanne noticed a difference immediately in the colder weather, and cant wait to see how comfortably she can sleep in the warm temperatures this summer.

Before this homeowner called Complete Home Solutions they were struggling with cold rooms and drafts in their home in D.C. Our Auditor went to the home and determined that the source of the uncomfortable temperatures was the lack of insulation in the home's attic.
The lack of insulation was causing the homeowners to spend too much money on heating and cooling because all of the home's air was seeping out through the attic. Our Production Team used blow in cellulose insulation to make the home more energy efficient and more comfortable for the homeowners.
