Jessica had some work done in her attic from us a couple years ago and when se had a small insulation job, she knew exactly who to call! She explained that the exterior wall in her basement was a little drafty and that it was always way colder in the area of that wall than any other spot in her basement. Jack went out to inspect the wall and came to the conclusion that spray foaming that wall would solve her issues since the spray foam won't only add insulation, but also fill in any crack or crevice. With that in mind, we sent out Paul, one of our Home Comfort Technicians, to get the job done! After about an hour of spraying, the wall was covered and completed.
Jessica noticed that there wasn't a draft anymore the first time she walked down. If you have any similar issues, call us at Complete Home Solutions at 1-866-746-0513!
This Churchton homeowner called in stating that they needed their insulation upgraded. They had bought the house recently and noticed that a lot of the insulation in the crawl space was all outdated and falling down. Our Home Comfort Specialist, James, arrived and set up a gameplan for our crews and got to work! Our Home Comfort Technicians started removing the old batt insulation right away. Lead by the crew leader, Brad, they made quick work of the removal and then started laying down the new CleanSpace vapor barrier. This vapor barrier will block out any moisture rising towards the home, which is important because their home is in a marshy area which is prone to a lot of moisture. On top of that, is 20 millimeters thick, so it is hard to cut or rip. The final step is to spray foam the walls of the crawl space, which will act as their new insulation instead of the hung batt.
The homeowner is now enjoying a more comfortable home and lower energy bills!
This homeowner in Shady Side was experiencing cold floors and moisture in their crawl space causing the first floor of their home to feel muggy. They were smart to call the professionals at Complete Home Solutions to make their uncomfortable home feel more comfortable! Our Home Comfort Specialist, Ben, visited to assess their crawlspace and determined that the homeowner needed a complete encapsulation to combat the moisture and cold floors. Ben recommended that our Home Comfort Technicians come out to fix her crawl issues. The crew started by removing all old insulation and debris from the crawl, followed by installing a sump pump to remove standing water and decrease the amount of moisture. After that, the crew installed 20 mil. vapor barrier to keep the moisture emitting from the ground from reaching the living space. The last step is to have our Spray Foam Specialists spray two inches of foam onto the walls of the crawlspace to complete the encapsulation.
The homeowner noticed an immediate difference and enjoyed their warm floors and moisture-free home!
Linda set an appointment with us to figure out what we could do to help keep her living rooms temperature consistent. After a thorough investigation and discussion with our Home Comfort Specialist, Shane, they decided that spray foaming the exterior walls is the best way to keep her living room comfortable. With the work laid out, we sent our Home Comfort Technicians, Alfredo and Carlos, out to complete this job! They started by prepping the area by laying plastic out all over the ceiling, walls, and floor to protect from overspray and once its all laid out, they start spraying. After the spray is finished, we take a shaver to shave down the foam to match the level of the wooden frame in order to get the most foam possible, while also being low enough to properly reinstall the drywall. Once it is shaved down, Alfredo and Carlos clean up and the job is completed!
Linda noted how she felt a difference right away and was very appreciative of the care put into the work!
Lisa called in with interest in getting her HVAC system replaced. Our Home Comfort Specialist, Jack, was sent to take measurements and see what we can do for Lisa in order to get her the best possible price for her replacement. After going over some options, Jack was able to get some financing help for her to go towards her replacement! The next step was to have our HVAC Installers, Damian and Colby, to show up and begin to remove the old unit. Once the old unit was taken out, they begin to install the new unit in its place and was a perfect fit! Once everything was in place, they turned it on to test and make sure it runs perfectly so that Lisa can enjoy her brand new HVAC system.
Everything worked perfectly and now Lisa is, once again, comfortable in her home!
