A homeowner in Eatontown, NJ decided it was time to upgrade his attic space and add some new insulation to it, so he called our Attic Systems department and we were sent out.
We inspected the attic and determined that the area was severely under-insulated. Under-insulated attics will cause problems such as uncomfortable rooms, uneven temperatures, and high heating and cooling bills. We removed all the fiberglass insulation, disinfected the entire attic area, and then added approximately 10-12 inches of TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation.
TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation has a higher R-value than standard fiberglass batts, is made primarily from recycled newspaper (perfect for environmentally conscious property owners), has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, and is treated with non-toxic borate giving it an incredible resistance to mold and pests. Not to mention, because it fills the attic to the proper insulation levels, it will prevent heat transfer between the attic and the rooms below, allowing the homeowners heating and cooling systems to run less frequently and save him considerable amounts of money on his energy cost!
This Lavallette, NJ homeowner had used Cowelys to resolve her chronically damp dirty crawl space. This time, she asked us to improve her home’s energy efficiency by adding TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation. Why blown-in cellulose insulation? With a higher R-value than standard fiberglass batts, cellulose insulation instantly improves home energy performance, provides more durability so it won't compress, become damaged by pests, and creates an incredible resistance to mold and pests.
Not to mention cellulose insulation is treated with non-toxic borate, giving it the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, and is made primarily from recycled newspaper, making it the perfect choice for environmentally conscious property owners. By increasing the efficiency of the home’s HVAC system, the homeowners will see noticeable reductions in their heating and cooling bills
After hearing about the numerous benefits of using blown-in cellulose insulation, this homeowner in Asbury Park, NJ called our office and wanted us to insulate his attic.
After a thorough inspection, we noticed that not only was the current insulation insufficient, but the insulation was damaged and contaminated as well! Apparently, the homeowner had purchased the home a few months ago, renovated the attic, and used the same insulation that was previously installed. During the renovation period, the insulation was damaged and contaminated by the various materials that were used.
An attic that doesn't have the proper insulation will keep your heating and cooling systems working overtime, which in turn, will increase your utility bill. We removed all the current insulation, vacuumed and disinfected the attic, and added over 10 inches of TruSoft cellulose insulation. TruSoft fills the attic to its recommended insulation levels, won't compress, is eco-friendly, and is treated with non-toxic borate which gives it the highest Class-1 fire safety rating and creates an incredible resistance to mold & pests!
These Sea Girt homeowners had a wildlife infestation in their attic. They had an exclusion done by our nuisance wildlife team who blocked all of the potential entry points into the attic. Unfortunately, although the wildlife was gone and could not re-enter, the homeowners were left with destroyed attic insulation and a toxic mess of animal droppings.
We removed all the contaminated insulation and added TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation. Blown-in cellulose insulation maximizes home comfort, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, is resistant to mold and pests, is eco-friendly, and optimizes energy usage for year-round peace and savings!
Homeowners in Red Bank, NJ, had a raccoon gain entry into their attic through the ceiling fan. Previously, our wildlife team successfully retrieved, removed, and safely relocated the trespassing raccoon, and also installed a tough galvanized steel mesh attic fan cover that would permanently block the entry point.
The homeowners however were concerned, and rightfully so, that there could still be unseen urine seepage or other hidden damage to their insulation. They did not want to take any chances. For their own peace of mind, the homeowners felt this was an opportune time to improve the quality of their attic insulation.
We first removed the potentially contaminated insulation and flooring. Once that material was cleared out, we disinfected the entire attic to remove all traces and smells of a raccoon infestation. Finally, after we replaced the flooring with new plywood, we “blew in” 12 inches of our TruSoft insulation. TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation offers superior thermal properties as well as a pest control component. Now, with this top-quality insulation, these homeowners will enjoy a more comfortable energy-efficient home with reduced heating and cooling bills.
