Problem:
These Kent Bridge homeowners experienced water entering their basement a few times in the last 5 years. They were not only looking for a permanent solution to their leaky basement, but also an attractive finishing option.
Solution:
Here’s what our team did:
Waterproofed the leaky basement walls with an in-floor drain which safely move water into the sump pump and away from the home.
We removed the lower part of the paneling and wood wall joists, as they were mouldy from the water entering.
We installed steel wall joists, which will never rot or grow mould.
We installed a radiant wall barrier which helps ensure any leaking water is directed into the in-floor drain.
We finished the space with EverLast™ Finished Wall Restoration System, and Thermal Dry carpet, both which are made of inorganic material, so they will never mould or rot!
What a fantastic transformation! We can assure you that these homeowners are thrilled with the results.
Problem: These homeowners had an old sump pump system and pit which was open, creating a humid environment in the home. They were also experiencing some drainage problems and cracks in their basement floor.
Solution: We successfully installed a new SuperSump+™ Sump Pump System. We moved the location of their sump pump, filled in the old pit, filled the floor cracks, and improved their drainage system.

Problem: The homeowner required improved access to their crawl space.
Solution: We installed a steel window well, as part of the crawl space access is below grade and added an EverLast crawl space access door which seals tightly for an ideal crawl space environment.

Problem: The existing sump system had no lid, one pump and a water-powered back-up pump. Water-powered back-ups have proven to be unreliable due to how slowly they pump, the need of excessive maintenance and of course the risk they hold as they introduce more water into our basement space.
Solution: Install a unit with two submersible pumps on seperate discharge lines (very important) and a battery back-up system. This battery back-up uses a maintenance-free deep-cell battery, which is designed to give a little bit of power over a long period of time- the opposite of a car battery.

Problem: These homeowners in Kent County were experiencing a leaky basement for years. They were reluctant to fix the problem as they assumed that their driveway and landscaping would be destroyed in the process. In the meantime, the wet basement environment was ruining their stored items, resulting in damage and mould.
Solution: Our basement waterproofing system does not affect the outside appearance of homes. Our system directs the leaking water away from the walls and floors and into a new drain and upgraded sump pump. We finished off the walls with our ThermalDry® Basement Radiant Wall Barrier which not only keeps the water from leaking into the basement but also improves the comfort of the entire home and helps to reduce energy costs.
