This homeowner in Leesburg VA was experiencing comfort issues in several areas of their home.  They called us to try and find out why.  Our Home Performance Sales Pro Carl went out to do a full home inspection and see what options we could offer to help make the home more comfortable.  Along with insulation improvements in several other areas, Carl determined that it would be helpful to insulate the metal laundry chute running out of the laundry room and through the attic.  This was due to excessive drafts in the laundry room and uneven temperatures compared to other areas of the home.  Our production team prepared the area and then used spray foam to cover and seal the laundry chute.  

Skylights are beautiful, but can increase heat loss/gain tremendously, just like in this Leesburg, VA home. Especially if they are not properly air sealed and insulated on the back side of them in the attic above.

We were contracted to remove insulation from this home that had suffered from a fire.  The insulation reeked of smoke, and was very wet.

The insulation was a combination of Batt Insulation and Blown In.  As there was a great deal of smoke smell, it was important for every bit to be removed.
