This Hyattsville homeowner had concerns that his upstairs was drafty and couldn't hold a consistent temperature, causing his energy bills to skyrocket. While there, Ben recommended that we remove the flooring in his knee wall attics so that we can install blown-in cellulose insulation, spray foam the knee wall in order to seal and insulate the walls within the attic, and to install a radiant barrier on the sloped portion of the attic to help reduce heat gain and reduce cooling costs. With the work planned out, the next step is to send our Home Comfort Technicians, lead by Alex, to put the plan into action! Alex started by removing the flooring and prepping the attic floor for the Insulation Truck and once it was ready, he moved onto spray foaming the knee walls. Our two-part spray foam not only insulates the walls, but it also seals them which will alleviate that drafty feeling. Finally, Alex installed radiant barrier on the roof deck in order to reduce heat gain, this helps minimize the heat that radiates within the attic from your roof. Finally, the Insulation Truck came and blew 17 inches of blown-in cellulose into the attic to complete the job!

Annie called in saying that she had no hot water and needed a replacement ASAP! We were able to order her a replacement quickly and got her on the schedule the very next day!
